Meet Dr. Sandamali
Dr. Walpolage Sandamali Samanthi is an Ayurvedic physician with over 15 years of professional experience. Her background includes inpatient and outpatient Ayurvedic care in hospitals and Central Dispensaries. She qualified in 2008 with a Grade I Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from the University of Kelaniya's Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurvedic Institute.
At The Mist Ayurveda Wellness Centre, she provides Ayurvedic consultation and treatment. Her work with guests begins by listening to how they feel, what concerns them and what they hope to gain from their Ayurvedic experience. She then offers individual guidance about traditional treatments that may be appropriate and explains what to expect before a guest decides whether to proceed.
An approach that begins by listening
Dr. Sandamali approaches each guest as an individual. She welcomes questions and explains traditional Ayurvedic treatment in a way that helps visitors feel informed before deciding whether to proceed.
For guests experiencing Ayurveda for the first time, I am always happy to explain the treatment and answer their questions.

Your consultation, step by step
A consultation gives Dr. Sandamali time to understand your circumstances and explain what may be appropriate for you.
We Talk
She asks how you are feeling, about your general health and lifestyle, any concerns, and what you hope to gain from your Ayurvedic experience. You can also share relevant health conditions and medication.
I Assess
She carries out an Ayurvedic assessment, considering the information you share and your individual constitution, known as Prakriti.
I Guide
She explains which traditional Ayurvedic treatment or treatments may be appropriate, what you can expect and answers your questions before you decide whether to proceed.
Guidance before treatment
An Ayurvedic doctor consultation is required before treatment at The Mist. You may explore the treatments and tell us what interests you; Dr. Sandamali will assess your circumstances and discuss what may be appropriate before you decide whether to proceed. A consultation may also be booked independently, without a treatment.
